Saturday, April 19, 9:00am: Hollis Cal Ripken Baseball Parade – from Monument Square down Depot Road to Nichols Field. Marches of Fame plus Star Spangled Banner.
Wednesday, April 30: NO REHEARSAL
Monday, May 26, 5:30: Memorial Day Ceremony – Monument Square. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held inside Hollis Upper Elementary School, down the long driveway beside the Lower Elementary School (the school facing Rt. 122.) NO PARADE.
Sunday, June 8, 2:00: Young People's Concert, Hollis-Brookline High School Auditorium.
Sunday, June 22, 2:00: Strawberry Festival – Monument Square, Hollis. SETUP BEGINS AT NOON.
Wednesday, June 25: NO REHEARSAL
JULY and AUGUST: NO REHEARSALS – CHECK SCHEDULE FOR CONCERTS, THOUGH!
Wednesday, July 9, 7:00: Concert, Milford – Emerson Park, Milford, NH. Get to the Oval in the middle of Milford, turn North on Rt. 13, go over bridge, Post Office is immediately on the left. Park in large lot beside the Post Office. Emerson Park is down behind the Post Office, along the river. Concert is in the Town Hall on the Oval in the event of rain.
Wednesday, July 19, 7:00: Concert, Nashua – Bandshell at Greeley Park, Concord Street, Nashua
Saturday, July 19, 1:00: Old Home Days Parade, Pittsfield, NH. Head north to Concord, east on Route 393 to Route 4. At Epsom traffic circle, follow Rt. 28 north to Pittsfield, about 10 miles north, exits to the right of 28 to get to downtown. Go through downtown and there will be large parking field on the right, way past the center of town. We ride in a trolley. Bring Marches of Fame book.
Wednesday, July 23, 7:00: Concert at the Courville, Hunt Street, Nashua, NH. Get to Lake Street, turn onto Hunt Street at Decelle Auto. Courville is about 200 feet down on the left. Big driveway.
Wednesday, Sept. 3, 7:30: First Rehearsal of Fall season.
Saturday, Sept. 13, 10:30am: Hollis, NH Old Home Days. Parade starting at Hollis-Brookline High School, turning right at Old Engine House (Hollis Historical Society), passing Monument Square and proceeding down Depot Road to the ball fields. 1-hour concert to follow shortly after end of parade. Parking in field beyond ball fields – drive down Depot Road, passing ballfields on left, turn left at next road after ballfields, and turn left into the parking field. Leave music stands and folders in cars until after parade.
Saturday, Sept. 27, 11am: Nashua Catholic Schools Country Fair, behind Holman Stadium, Amherst Street, Nashua. Turn onto Sargent Avenue from Amherst Street and take first right turn after swimming pool and playground (on right.) Parking in Holman Stadium parking lot (enter from either Amherst Street or Sargent Avenue (between tennis courts and swimming pool.)
Sunday, Oct. 5, 2:00: Apple Festival – Monument Square, Hollis. SETUP BEGINS AT NOON. Everybody MUST bring TWO 2-crust, HOMEMADE apple pies. Not store bought, no way. No, No, No!
Wednesday, Oct. 22, 7:15: First rehearsal of the Christmas Chorus – no auditions, just have to want to sing.
Wednesday, Nov. 26: NO REHEARSAL
Saturday, Dec. 6, 7:30: Christmas Concert, Hollis-Brookline High School Auditorium, Rt. 122, Hollis, NH. Admission charge is one package of non-perishable food.
Wednesday, Dec. 24 & 31: NO REHEARSALS
Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009: First Rehearsal for 2009!
Wednesday, Jan. 14: Annual business meeting, election of officers. If any rehearsals are cancelled this business meeting will occur during the second rehearsal which is held in 2009.
Wednesday, Feb. 25?: NO REHEARSAL
Sunday, March 29?, 1:30: Pops Concert, Alpine Grove, Rt. 111a, Hollis, NH. 11AM call for setup. Doors open at 1:30, Dixieland plays from 1:45-2:15 CONCERT STARTS AT 2:30. DESSERT BUFFET INSTEAD OF FULL DINNER.
